School holidays... enough to test the patience of a saint and we all know that I ain't no saint! Anyone looking for some spare kids? They are house trained... kinda. To be honest, I am really looking forward to them going back to school. Then I can have time to do what needs to be done and play a few (ha ha!) games of bingo!

Bingo patron suffers heart attack
An evening out at the local bingo hall so nearly ended in tragedy if it were not for the quick thinking of a bingo member of staff.
Betty Barnes from Grindon was enjoying the beginnings of a night out with friends, when she suffered a heart attack and fell to the floor. Onlookers stood in shock as one of the bingo halls most well know members lay on the floor, but a quick thinking member of staff rushed to her rescue.
The pensioner was just about to buy her books at her local bingo hall in Holmeside when she collapsed with a heart attack. Luckily the bingo hall's first aider Mr Ken Norton was close by and gave the lady treatment until paramedics arrived on the scene
Mr Norton, 67, from Grangetown, has worked in a number of roles at the bingo hall over the past 11 years, had to remove Betty's false teeth to ensure her airways were unblocked and placed her in the recovering position until paramedics arrived.
Betty spent six days in Sunderland Royal Hospital, where she was fitted with a pacemaker. Angela Heggarty, duty manager at Mecca, said: "Our staff are absolutely fantastic in any sort of emergency. We are very, very proud of them."
Betty has since been reunited with her hero, telling him: "I thank you with all my pacemaker heart – you deserve a bag of gold."

Dad looks horrified and then decides to tell Billy about sex and goes into great detail explaining it all to little Billy.
Billy just sat there with his eyes and mouth open wide open in amazement.

Lovely weekend recipe for sugar-free pancakes with a berry compote. Enjoy!!
New York berry pancakes recipe
Ingredients berry compote
250g mixed berries, thawed if frozen
1 tsp cornflour
4 tbsp Canderel granules
Pancakes
100g plain flour
1 tsp baking powder Half tsp ground cinnamon
40g porridge oats
4 tbsp Canderel granules
120ml fat free plain yogurt
5 tbsp skimmed milk
2 medium eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 tsp sunflower oil
Directions
Put the berries into a pan with 2 tbsp water, slowly bring to simmer.
Blend the cornflour with a tablespoon of water, add to the berries with the Canderel and stir over a medium heat until the juices thicken. Remove from the heat.
To make the pancakes, put the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, oats and Canderel into a bowl.
Whisk the yogurt, milk, eggs and vanilla extract together then add to the dry ingredients and beat together to make a smooth batter.
To cook the pancakes, heat a large non-stick frying pan on medium high, brush the base of the pan with oil.
Drop 3 tablespoons of the batter into the pan, leaving a little space between each one. Cook for about 2 minutes, bubbles will come to the surface. When the underside is golden, flip the pancakes over and cook a further 2 minutes.
Remove from the pan, brush the pan with oil and continue to cook the pancakes.
Serve topped with the berry sauce.
