Kate Middleton sure must have a case of the wedding day jitters. This weekend she marries the future King of England and we can’t wait to see how fabulous she is going to look.

Kate Middleton 'has three wedding dresses made'
In terms of royal decoys, it would be right up there with the plot of the Prisoner of Zenda. Kate Middleton, if rumours sweeping the fashion world are to be believed, has commissioned not one but three designs for her wedding dress to make sure no-one can second guess what she will be wearing on 29 April.
If the design of her preferred bridal gown is leaked to the media, she will simply switch to plan B or plan C, and wear one of her “backup” dresses, according to a report on a respected fashion blog.
Sources close to Miss Middleton have repeatedly refused to comment on speculation about the identity of the designer, but one thing they are happy to confirm is that the future princess is absolutely determined that the dress design will remain top secret until the big day.
The fashion writer Anne Chertoff claimed yesterday that Jasper Conran, who designed the bridal gown worn by Lady Sarah Chatto, daughter of Princess Margaret, was the latest designer to be asked to make a dress for Miss Middleton.
Bruce Oldfield, who became an early front-runner for the commission after Miss Middleton’s mother and sister were seen at his London shop in January, also remains a possibility.
However Sarah Burton, of Alexander McQueen, is the current bookies’ favourite after Alexandra Shulman, the editor of Vogue, urged Miss Middleton to choose her when she was approached by St James’s Palace for advice.
Miss Chertoff wrote: “Miss Middleton has commissioned three wedding dresses from three different designers… (she) has two ‘backups’ should the designer of her chosen wedding dress be correctly leaked, in which case she’ll wear one of the others.”
Diana, Princess of Wales, had two identical dresses made by Emanuel, in case of a mishap, but dispensed with cloak-and-dagger tactics by announcing the identity of the designer (but not the design) well in advance of her wedding in 1981. This light, summery dessert is perfect after a heavy meal or an easy to make dessert for your Royal Wedding street party. It's a great low fat dessert which combines our two favourite food groups: alcohol and dessert. LOL.
Champagne jelly
Preparation time: over two hours
Cooking time: less than 10 minutes
Serves six
Ingredients
300ml/10fl oz hot water
55g/2oz caster sugar
500ml/16fl oz pink sparkling wine or pink champagne
4 leaves of gelatine
150g/5oz raspberries or any fruit you like
Preparation method
- Put the water and sugar into a small saucepan over a low to medium heat. Stir to dissolve the crystals, then raise the heat and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat, simmer for five minutes, then remove the pan.
- Pour the sparkling wine into a large heatproof bowl and add the gelatine. Set aside for about five minutes, or until the leaves are soft and squidgy.
- Take out the leaves, squeeze off as much liquid as possible, and add them to the sugar syrup.
- Whisk furiously until the gelatine has completely dissolved, then pour the syrup back into the bowl with the sparkling wine and whisk to combine.
- Allow to cool thoroughly, then refrigerate the jelly for about one hour.
- As soon as it starts to thicken, stir in the raspberries or other fruit.
- Divide the jelly between six glasses and cover them with cling film.
Refrigerate for four to six hours, or until they have completely set and serve.
