Giggle for the Day: There's too much blood in my caffeine system. LOL!
I tried to do a detox to cleanse the system the past two weeks. The only thing I battled with was the lack of caffeine. I swear, I was like a demon possessed but I even made it a full 10 days. Then I caved! I'm a quitter – what can I say? Caffeine is my vice and I am a pain in the arse without it. So, for the good of all mankind I drink coffee! You can thank me later, ROFL.

Clovis woman awaits bingo win — and 101st birthday
June Maney can be found most Tuesday mornings playing bingo at the Clovis Senior Centre, hoping to celebrate a big win. Tomorrow, she'll be celebrating something else — her 101st birthday.
But to Maney the birthday is just another day. Like bingo and the number of birthdays a person gets, it's the luck of the draw — something she has no control over.
Today she has seven grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren. Besides the bingo, she also enjoys visiting with friends at the centre.
"I don't go dancing anymore," she says. "My balance isn't that good."
Next week, Maney won't be visiting the senior centre. Instead she'll be off to visit her sister Beyrle. That will be better than any bingo win and a great way to celebrate her birthday

Give me fritters for dinner any day! This vegetarian fritter recipe incorporates both sweetcorn and chickpeas. Plus a whole bunch of ingredients that can always be found in the cupboard.
Sweetcorn and Chickpea Fritters recipe
Ingredients
1 Tin creamed sweetcorn
1 Tin Chickpeas
1 1/2 cups self-raising flour
10ml sugar (optional)
Salt and white pepper
1 large handful of fresh parsley roughly chopped
1 Egg
15-30ml plain yoghurt
Oil for frying
Bean sprouts to serve (optional)
Directions
In a bowl, mash half the chickpeas and then add all the rest whole.
Add the sweetcorn and the rest of the ingredients, mixing and adding enough yoghurt to get a thick batter.
Heat your oil in a non-stick pan and fry the fritters until golden brown and cooked through.
Keep warm until ready to serve, with sprouts if available.
