For Nemanja Petrovic his risk-taking entrepreneurial skills paid off. The street beggar from Subotica got so fed up with being ignored by passers-by and hurried commuters that he was tempted to throw the hat in. In an act of protest the 42-year-old tossed his cap and shoes down on the street with a hand-written sign saying 'Invisible Beggar' while he busied himself elsewhere and let off some steam. Once he had calmed down the cheeky beggar went back to his gear and discovered he had got far more than he had bargained for: 'When I returned I was astonished to find a crowd and my cap was full of money,' he explained. Keep 'em coming.     Cucumber sandwiches are delicious and perfect as a snack. Jazz it up by giving it more flavour with mackerel pate. This recipe is so fab that I am going to try cucumber and chocolate sauce next. LOL! Smoked mackerel paté and cucumber sandwich Serves 2-4 Ingredients 2 smoked mackerel fillets, skin and pin bones removed 2 tbsp Greek-style yoghurt 2 tbsp creamed horseradish ½ lemon, juice only salt and freshly ground black pepper butter, for spreading 4-6 slices white bread ½ cucumber, peeled, seeds removed, finely sliced Directions Step 1: Flake the mackerel fillets into the bowl of a food processor. Add the yoghurt, horseradish and lemon juice and season with salt and freshly ground black pepper. Pulse gently to a rough paste. Step 2: Butter the bread, remove the crusts and cut into neat squares. Step 3: Arrange a single layer of sliced cucumber onto half of the buttered bread. Spread the mackerel paté on top and sandwich with the remaining bread. Step 4: To serve, cut the sandwiches into triangles. Good luck!
