Giggle for the Day: All men are idiots, and I married their King. LOL!
ROFL, I had a bit of a row with my husband this week. You know how it goes? They look at you, your back goes up. They talk to you, your back goes up. They don’t talk to you, your back goes up! So, we had a row and being the talented female that I am, he now feels bad, which I actively encourage. If he has learnt anything in the last few years, best he make it up to me with some quiet, me-time and a generous bag filled with all my favourite goodies. Aw, he is a real pet at the end of the day!
New Bingo Software
WOO HOO we all survived the upgrade with all our bits still intact, LOL. How about all those cool new games we have to play? I know we still have one or two hiccups to iron out, and Tech are working double fast to get them sorted as quickly as super humanly possible. Bingo raises money in memory of daughter
Bingo money will go to charity!
A mum who held an evening of bingo in memory of her daughter is proud to hand over a cheque to charity.
Christine Roberts tragically lost her daughter Rachel last year after she suffered from a blood clot, the News & Star reported.
To help others who suffer from the same condition, Ms Roberts decided to host bingo games to raise money for the charity Lifeblood: The Thrombosis Charity.
She set up the event at the Two Castles sheltered housing scheme she lives at in Whitehaven, with other residents having fun playing the games and adding to the total raised on the night.
In all, playing bingo raised £330, which Ms Roberts will donate to the charity.
She explained that her family is still coming to terms with losing Rachel and wanted to do something to educate more people about the disease.
"I would like to thank my fellow residents, the local community and all the staff at Two Castles for donating their time and efforts to make the event a success," Ms Roberts told the newspaper.
Bingo is also set to be played in Taunton soon as part of a campaign to raise money for radiotherapy equipment.
Playing bingo and using the proceeds to positively contribute to worthwhile causes is a great idea and we encourage all our players to do what they can to help those less fortunate than themselves whenever possible!

Heavenly recipe for apple cupcakes, topped with cream cheese frosting. Bake these for a special occasion, or simply to treat yourself! I couldn’t resist and almost ate half the recipe...Enjoy!
Apple Cupcakes recipe
Servings: makes 24 cupcakes
Ingredients
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
2 t baking soda
1 t ground cinnamon
1/2 t ground nutmeg
1 t salt
100g (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 t vanilla extract
4 cups apples, chopped into bite-sized pieces, from a tin or 24 baby apples
Frosting
200g (8 ounces) cream cheese, room temperature
100g (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
4 cups icing sugar, sifted
1 t vanilla extract
24 baby apples - for decorating
Directions
To make the cupcakes:
1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350F). Line two standard muffin tins with paper liners; set aside.
2. Whisk together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt in a medium bowl; set aside.
3. Cream butter and sugar on medium-high speed in the bowl of a mixer fitted with the paddle until pale and fluffy, about 5 minutes. Mix in eggs and vanilla.
4. Reduce speed to low; mix in apples. Add flour mixture; mix, scraping down sides of bowl as needed, until just combined.
5. Fill lined cups halfway with batter; bake until tops are springy to the touch, 18 to 20 minutes. Remove from tins; let cool on a wire rack. When completely cool, frost cupcakes; top with baby apples.
To make the frosting:
1. Beat cream cheese in the bowl of a mixer fitted with the paddle until smooth; scrape down sides of bowl.
2. Add butter; mix, scraping down sides of bowl as needed, until smooth, about 2 minutes.
3. Gradually mix in icing sugar; add vanilla. Mix until smooth, about 1 minute.
