Giggle for the Day: What’s round and bad-tempered? A vicious circle. ROFL!!
Or my boss, ha ha. This week was a killer; I think the entire office was just a tad bit grumpy because of the bad weather. C’mon, where is our sunshine? This is no fun, especially with the kids on edge and all cooped up. I just tune out, switch on my laptop and try lose myself in the chatter in one of our fab Rooms whilst dreaming of a beach holiday.
Getting better at stockpiling the Loyalty BBz? Some of you are really wracking them up, LOL. Watch out for that all-important email on Tuesdays which will let you know how much you have been credited. Please be aware that we are working on a way for you to be able to check what you have earned in the week. Watch this space!
We have dropped the Recurring Deposit Bonus from 50% to 25%. This will be applicable to all deposits made $10-$100. Aw, don’t stress Roomie, work the new Loyalty systems properly and the rewards will far outweigh the deposit bonuses! Promise.
Please take note that going forward we will only be pulling the Bingo Ball for Life winners report next week Tuesday and not on Monday. This is to allow for any late data to be pulled into the data warehouse.
There is still so much to catch up on so pour some vino, put your feet up and take in all that we have to offer.

Wacky Bingo News
Blind Woman Still Plays Bingo
A lady has continued to play her favourite game even though she has lost her sight. After suffering a stroke her vision began to fade and for many people this would have certainly resulted in the end of their bingo entertainment. But the keen bingo fan, who often played more than a dozen cards, memorised the positions of the numbers on the cards before she lost her sight completely.
Her son, Bill Archer, noticed on one occasion while joining his mother that she
was covering up the wrong numbers, and did not say anything until after she
had claimed bingo.
After the bingo caller had confirmed she had the winning ticket her son pointed out the error thinking that his mother had been very lucky on this occasion. His mother replied: "Oh, I forgot to turn it over. I was playing the card on the other side."
While hopefully in the future online bingo sites will be able to be more flexible
towards people with disabilities, bingo clubs have been going the extra mile for customers for many years.
During a visit to the Beacon Bingo in Loughborough club a few years ago, I
witnessed how one customer in her 90s, was losing her vision and could only
see numbers and letters that were at least an inch tall. She had the tickets
enlarged to A4 size so she could still play. A member of the staff at the club
would type all the numbers of each ticket into a spreadsheet and then each
ticket was printed off to one piece of paper. I also watched, on a quiet afternoon session, how one lady played a whole ROW of cash bingo boards (23 in total),
she would run up and down the 5 metre row sliding the shutters over the numbers and then back down the row for the next number. Most people would struggle to
play 2 or 3 boards while seated at a table, but this lady knew every number on
every board on the row and was fit enough to be running backwards and forwards, sometimes for more than 60 numbers. She never missed a number either!
She didn’t do it very often but it was very impressive to watch.
No doubt in the future, online bingo sites will have the option to just view the ticket the full size of the screen to aid players with vision problems.
Lucky we have auto dab feature! Whether you have impaired vision or not, it frees up time for more gabbing, LOL.

Never cook when you are in a hurry. Last night I came home frazzled, my boss had been on my case the whole day and I was late to put dinner on. So I make my meatballs from scratch and they look delicious. I make the ratatouille and it is perfect. Combine them together and put it back on the stove. I start on the pasta and forget to monitor the other pot. Needless to say I burnt it! I was so aggravated that the family had to eat spaghetti and sauce from a bottle. No one was impressed, least of all me! But what can you do but have a Giggle?
Cooking Humour
Little Johnny's preschool class went on a field trip to the fire station. The fire fighter giving the presentation held up a smoke detector and asked the class: "Does anyone know what this is?"
Little Johnny's hand shot up and the fire fighter called on him.
Little Johnny replied: "That's how Mommy knows supper is ready!"

After last night’s disaster I have been online, stocking up on easy-to-make pasta recipes, LOL. I found this recipe for a basic tomato and basil sauce for pasta. This is a perfect sauce to use as a base. You can add a variety of other flavours to the finished sauce, just cooking for a few minutes to create a completely different dish.
Basic tomato and basil sauce for pasta
Preparation time: less than 30 minutes
Cooking time: 30 minutes to 1 hour
Serves 6
Ingredients
3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1 large onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves, crushed
3 x 400g cans of chopped tomatoes
¼-½ tsp dried chilli flakes
2 tsp balsamic vinegar
2 tsp sugar
1 large handful basil leaves, torn into small pieces
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
Grated parmesan cheese, to serve
Method:
1. 1. Heat the oil in a saucepan and gently cook the onion and garlic until softened. Stir in the tomatoes, chilli flakes, balsamic vinegar and sugar. Bring to a simmer and cook slowly for 45 minutes to 1 hour. Stir in the basil and season with salt and pepper. This can be left chunky or blended in a food processor for a smooth sauce.
2. Serve spooned over cooked pasta, with plenty of parmesan cheese.
Good luck and happy cooking. If you have any recipes that you would like to share with us, then why not drop us an email? If your recipe is published in the newsletter, then you
will receive $10 bonus in BBz.
