We made the news! Or rather...the Giggle Bingo Birthday Auction was the topic covered! We sure had fun with this promotion and by the responses we received so did all of you! The Auction went off swimmingly – the Chat Hosts have yet to recover from the frenetic pace set by all the Roomies bidding in the Chat Rooms and the bids that were conveyed by phone!
A total of 55,430 points were accumulated between 310 determined players, WTG. Needless to say the most aggressive bidder won and all the prizes were sold!

Winners in the online bingo birthday auction announced
The Giggle Bingo Auction Extravaganza promotion has concluded on a high note with 15 online bingo players at Giggle Bingo winning prizes totalling over £800.
Giggle Bingo spent their birthday month celebrating with their online bingo players, offering many exciting promotions and incentives throughout the month of October.
The Giggle Auction Extravaganza promotion saw its finale take place on 31 October in the Snickers Room at 9PM (BST). 15 bingo players each walked away with their share of prizes totalling over £800. Players had earned points through a variety of actions with the express intention of using them to bid on their favoured item.
The successful bidders included Handsoff66 who won a Lush Think Pink Hatbox of goodies for 600 points, chrisnamy1 who won a Fuji Finepix Digital Camera for 1600 points and deckwinsbingo who won a USB Modem for 907 points.
Other successful bidders included fudge2 who for 1600 points walked away with a 1.5 kilogram stash of chocolates and truffles; fiftyfifty won a 20” digital monitor for 1100 points, purpleman21won a 500GB External Hard Drive for 1300 points and angelic1 who won alcoholic beverages to the value of £50 from 900 points while happyj48 won Pandora jewellery with 1025 points.
£300 in Bingo Bonus Money was also won between seven players on the night.
First-time players were also given a 300% first deposit bonus offer as well as a 40% recurring deposit bonus on all secondary deposits made during October. |

Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson go on a camping trip. After a good dinner and a bottle of wine, they retire for the night, and go to sleep.
Some hours later, Holmes wakes up and nudges his faithful friend. “Watson, look up at the sky and tell me what you see.”
“I see millions and millions of stars, Holmes” replies Watson.
“And what do you deduce from that?” asks Holmes. Watson ponders for a minute.
“Well...
- Astronomically, it tells me that there are millions of galaxies and potentially billions of planets.
- Astrologically, I observe that Saturn is in Leo.
- Horologically, I deduce that the time is approximately a quarter past three.
- Meteorologically, I suspect that we will have a beautiful day tomorrow.
- Theologically, I can see that God is all powerful, and that we are a small and insignificant part of the universe.

Holmes is silent for a moment.

This recipe was also sent in by Townbird, what a busy Roomie she is! It sounds so simple and too delicious for words so I had to share. Thanks for sharing!
Toffee Apple Shortbreads
20 minutes to make
20 minutes to bake, plus chilling and cooling
Ingredients
100g Diced ready-to-eat apples, finely sliced
450g Jar caramel toffee sauce, warmed to pouring consistency
200g Plain chocolate, melted
For the biscuit base
100g butter, softened, plus extra for greasing
450g caster sugar
175g plain flour
100g corn flour
Method
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C/fan160°C/gas 4. Grease and line a 17cm x 27cm x 4cm deep baking tin. To make the biscuit base, cream the butter and sugar until pale and fluffy. Sift in the flour and corn flour and, using your hands, work to dough. Place in the tin and use a glass tumbler to roll out flat and into the corners. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden. Set aside to cool.
2. Scatter the apples over the base; pour over the caramel sauce and spread to level out. Chill in the fridge for 1 hour.
3. Pour the melted chocolate over the caramel and apples, and then spread evenly.
4. Set aside to cool at room temperature for about 2 hours or until set.
5. Remove from the tin and cut into 15 slices.
